SheRises Foundation is proud to announce its partnership in the Empowering Migrant Women: Bridging Digital Skills and Career Opportunities project, a European Solidarity Corps initiative aimed at supporting young migrant women in their professional and personal growth. The project, led by the Young Entrepreneurs Society (YES), seeks to address gender disparities in the digital sector by equipping participants with essential digital skills and fostering career development opportunities.
With digitalization reshaping the job market, migrant women face unique challenges, including language barriers, limited access to education, and social exclusion. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap, enabling them to thrive in today’s tech-driven world.
The project aims to:
- Provide digital education and career guidance to young migrant women.
- Increase employment opportunities and support entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Foster social inclusion and gender equality in the digital sector.
- Create a network of mentors and role models to guide participants in their career journey.
Through a series of 12 meetups, participants will gain hands-on experience in areas such as digital literacy, e-commerce, social media management, cybersecurity, and freelancing. Expert mentorship will further support their professional growth, helping them navigate career opportunities and build confidence.
This project is designed for migrant women aged 18-29 who want to develop their digital skills and explore career opportunities in technology. Whether they aspire to become digital entrepreneurs, work in IT, or enhance their employability, this initiative provides them with the necessary tools and guidance.
In addition, young volunteers will have the chance to develop leadership and mentoring skills by actively participating in workshops and networking events.
